Because it was a slow [our perception of time] process of genetic mutation that gave us the eventual chicken. Slowly species change but it is over such large periods of time with slight differences here and there. Evolution is difficult to observe with our life span limitations.

Of course these aren't established facts but they''re the best we've got.

I still don't understand how evolution made having an egg hatch take more care. You think it would be the other way right? Usually when there is something that is not beneficial to the species' life it ends up going away. Yet chickens after a certain period of time would start to take care of their eggs even though somehow they were perfectly fine on their own before? That doesn't make sense to me.

Also where TF did the egg come from did it just materialize in thin air?

I'm not sure you understand/have learned what the various processes behind evolution are (not trying to be condescending). It's about DNA, and the copying process during embryonic development.

This should make it clear for you my friend: https://sciencebasedlife.wordpress.com/2...he-answer/

The basic concept of Evolution is that it caters to advantages though. Why would evolution in turn cause a disavantage then?

The chicken came first. Wouldn't be able to form the egg without the nutrients from the chicken.
