Thoughs on the new battle royale mode, "Danger Zone"? (Also, F2P)

As you all probably know by now, CS:GO got its first big update in a while and it brings a completely new Battle Royale mode and also the game is now F2P.
What are your thoughts on it?
Is it gonna be bigger than Fortnite? Bigger than COD BO4? Which one is the best and why?
Do you think CS:GO is dying and Valve made it free to play just because Fortnite takes all the fame these days?

This new Gamemode is really forgetable, I played one game, Already don't want to play another one. It's boring and bring nothing i've never seen before. At it current state, It's not gonna bigger than Fortnite.

Valve just wanted more cash so they created the trendy gamemode to attract new customers, It will probably work to be fair

idk, feel like it's probably the only thing they can do to even compete with playerbase

I have not yet got a chance to try it, but i have watched a bit of gameplay, and its not amusing. At least it takes an unique approach to the battle royale genre, its not another fortnite clone, but its not that great of a game either.

I personally like it, its something new, and tbh cs go hasnt had something new in so long

I have no clue what "Danger Zone" is, but no it won't be bigger than Fornite. They have like a 5% chance of it becoming bigger.

I think it is a good start to get new players into CS:GO. They should make more and especially bigger maps for more players.

Making CSGO f2p could be a double edged sword. It's much easier for cheaters to make alts now, but the ingame economy could appreciate a lot from this.

Of course, Valve is still only doing this since they know that most of their profits come from the case openings.

It's not a CS:GO thing, i don't like fortnite but I would prefer it above CS:GO just because it's focussed on that.
