Thoughts on GMOD these days?

Wondering what people who still play GMOD still think of it these days. I run a server and have like thousands of hours so I would love to know what others see it as today.

Do you play multiplayer servers? What type?

Do you only play singleplayer?

Did you just quit playing?

The 2nd Best game ever made, with the first being GTA V.

I have only ever played Deathrun, PoliceRP and MilitaryRP and currently own and run a PoliceRP server.

To me, it's just interesting seeing the different ways people play. I have only been into serious RP and have run +20 servers and have never stepped foot in really any arcade gamemodes. I have like 5,000 hours so I would just barely say, it's alright.

Even though I only have 300 hours in this game it's one the of the most fun I ever had playing with my friend (since he's the only one in my school that played on pc that i knew) even before my brother gifted me the game it was my favourite thing to watch. Just seeing people like Vanoss, VenturianTale, Mini Ladd, H20 and even jacksepticeye though that wasn't his main content playing gmod brought me a lot of happiness during a time where I had no friends really. I played mostly deathrun and ttt but sometimes DarkRP but I never really got into it only just played it when my friend would be online. Oddly enough, once I got a better computer I just kinda stopped playing it even though my old shitty laptop held me back from making the game look and play smoother, it could also be at the time I didn't really know about how good a game looked or how it performed so I never really cared. Kinda miss that time where I'd just play and I wouldn't really care too much if I didn't hit like 60fps or not because I didn't really know about it so it never stopped me from enjoying GMOD and other games.

These days though, it's kind of changed I guess I'm not too sure. I don't play on the servers I used to mainly because I couldn't find them anymore and never favourited the server, I'd still like to play it just want like my IRL friends to play with, playing with strangers I meet online is weird and I never really connect with them except for few.

I think it's way better then in the old days, scripts better, etc.
