Silent Hill has been one of my favorite videogame sagas ever and I love the plot of all the games. My top 3 is:
SH 3 (this is the top one because it brings me many good memories)
SH 2
SH 4

Interesting fact, the name "Silent Hill" is a direct translation of "Shizuoka", a prefecture south of Tokyo that lurks below Mt. Fuji. Quite a nice place if you have a chance to visit. Not as scary as the game :-P

personally I dont really get the hype. The game is good and all but I get bored playing after 3-4 hours just running around and get stuck in a room

It's one of my favorite games of all time. You just look at walls and stuff. What other game literally makes you watch paint dry? Truly, one of the most poggers game of the century.

i played SH1, when game wasnt well know yet. You didnt know what you are getting into. You started in that odd, deserted town and then after few hours..

when you compare SH1 to other horror games available at time (ie. resident evil with cheap jump scares 24/7) it is like comparing oscar movie to some B-flick. SH1 has it flaws, but thought that went into creating atmosphere, sound and puzzles was at genius level. This game really deserves praise.
