So, I've heard some good things and some bad things about that new Razer gaming phone...
I've been saving for a while for a new phone, and maybe it's time to upgrade? Especially with the new PUBG and Fortnite mobile games. They drop frames left and right on my current phone...
Ever since Linus and other YouTubers did reviews on the thing, it's kept my curiosity relatively high, but with it being such a new thing for phones to be gaming-centric(I mean that in the way that Razer, an almost completely gaming-centric company is focusing on them now)...Is it just another fad that'll fade away in no time?

So would it be worth investing in a new "gaming phone"?
I feel like this might be one of those "gaming glasses" things, where they really are just normal phones, but plastered with "gaming" so they're somehow better (and far more expensive)

Thoughts on investing in it? Do I wait for new 'gaming' centric phones, or just buy higher powered ones?

I think it is a cool idea and all, but I really do not want to see gaming move to cell phones. I would much rather the gaming audience move to PC because there is so much to offer, and developers really have no limits when it comes to PC gaming.

gaming phones aren't worth it, for example the razer one breaks really fast and has overheated a cople of times

Like you said they just feel like regular phones that just have "gaming" plastered to it. I'd just rather buy a Samsung S8 and play games on that, I also saw the review that linus and unbox therapy and they're said some positive things about it but I'll just stick to Samsung for now.

They, of course, will be popular with less rich people, but the average person and with a normal smartphone is good.

Razer phone supported 144hz so yeah, I would buy it if I have the money.

For its price, the phone is amazing. $600 for a phone that out-performs todays $1,000 phones. The display is on-par, The only con I have heard is that it is a little bit thicker then those phones. $400 Cheaper, More performance? I could less then one shit about how thick it is
