In my opinion, movies nowaday are not as scary as they used to be before like 2015 such as, Orphan, No Tell Motel, etc... Any thoughts?

Hard to say, yes most of the movies that have came out these last few years have been "less" scary, but it's mostly because of the directors take on it.

'Scary' modern movies just rely on visual effects and sounds to just make a jump scare on you. The old movies were scary because of how messed up they were, things happening there that people in that time could not concieve.

It's all kinda unoriginal these days knowing they rely on jump scares and the creepy factor of common fears.

I think it's all kinda milked and only really thrilling these days.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, old movies were the best because of the rumors in the movie, not the movie itself. Nothing beats the experience of old movies.

They are alright. You can only get jump scared and see creepy shit so many times before the luster goes away.

they make more money when more people see the movie i.e. they cater to the masses.
