Dear friends,

First of all, I'm a new member so I figure I say hi!

I have been wanting to make such a thread for a long time on official forums, but seeing that many people here are actually more like-minded, and since I aim to get to know this place I figured I would do it here.

So, I used to play LoL from its release. It was years ago (Good ol' college time) and my friends and I would skip classes for a quick game. I am trying not to derail my own thread but I can'tSmile) good times...

But after some time (As far as I remember it was the end of season 3 ,A few months after that Random champion mode was released if I am not mistaken) we all moved on. You know. lives, relationships, jobs etc. I think I was gold 2 (or 3) in ranked, nothing to boast but still, a tiny bit above average.

So anyway, after spending a lot of time with games like OW,Apex,PUBG and others, I am finally willing to go back and try LoL again. My friends are not on board so I have no idea about the games after like 5 years (if not more I'm not sure)

So, my question is, what is the state of the game? It was a big hit back then, real Free to Play model, constant support and content from the devs, etc. How about now? The community, the gameplay, technical state?

Any other tips for someone who wants to go back? Does it have a "future" still or will it die soon, like many other titles? It is gonna be a huge time sink so I do want to know if I will be willing to play it for a couple of years. Also, are people still bitching about Tryndamere being OP? Smile) I never played as Trynda btw.

So... what do you guys think?

Well I think most importantly, the game is much much more stable than it used to be. Back in the day I remember constantly getting Bugsplats while trying to get into games and it was super frustrating. As far as I can remember I haven't experienced a single crash in the last 2 years. Also if you live on the East coast, Riot opened some servers in (Chicago I think) which hugely improves ping.

Champions balance is still busted. I mean classic Riot can't seem to ever properly balance anything right but it's significantly better than it used to be.

I highly recommend you give it a try now, I don't think it's going anywhere for a while.

P.S.: I don't think Tryndamere has ever been OP, he's just hard for new players to deal with because of his ultimate and his free crits.
