I'm thinking on starting codding in GLua, i know it will be difficult but I want to, and I'm curious why people start coding. I personally want to start to make Gmod addons.

Because it's challenging and interesting for me
You will feel like you achieved something big when your code working perfectly
it's fun at a time and it's also bored at a time might give you a headache for a few weeks or months
but yea if you like it it should be fine

This is very interesting for me. Since childhood, I wanted to become a programmer. I am currently studying in the 4th year at the University. Besides Lua, I know many other languages! Tongue

I saw someone make 91k from a gmod addon so I just went for it and I made some money from it

I would start by watching tutorials on youtube. CodeBlue and Dan has some great Lua tutorials for starters Smile

I wanted a good surf gamemode, but there was no good public ones, so I learnt lua and make my own.

I started out as a hobby, I learned to be able to create plugins for counter strike 1.3 servers. The language used was pawn, a long time ago I saw a platform using it.

to make 4.0k and then it was 3.0k from a gmod addon to make 2.0k, and I had to change the sourcemod too. I have not looked into how you can modify the sourcemod without changing the mod file directly, the sourcemod makes this easier, but it has not been done. It is an easy thing to do though, but I am not entirely sure how it is done.
