Twitter is dead

most probably not dead, threads will not replace twitter

It's a zombie at this point given that there isn't anything else that is seemingly able to replace it currently. There's also the question of the Japanese side of twitter being a huge market for twitter. The original character limits that twitter had is very different for Japanese characters and you can fit a lot more into a similar amount of text compared to English. As such Japanese twitter become a pretty big stronghold pretty fast and is as far as I can tell still somewhat vibrant compared to the death throes of English twitter.

Plus, with Elon being so active, Twitter has become a real-time news hub. I mean, where else can you get breaking news and updates so quickly?

So, in my opinion, Twitter's not going anywhere. It's flexible, engaging, and always evolving with its users. That's why it's still going strong!
