I'd say go for an i9 if you're going into video editing, as previews in places like Vegas, Premiere, and After Effects are heavily CPU reliant. But if you're looking to build an editing rig then AMD is the way to go anyway.

i7 processors for gaming however are still a very reliable option in 2020, so it probably is not worth upgrading.
Yea for the most part I am just playing gta 5, Garry's mod and games like Cod.

Yeah, I feel like I need to get an upgrade. Thx for the replays Mutch appreciated!

In all honesty, I would never upgrade to AMD. I brought their graphics card for a change, and they are a handful to work with. Their control centre is also a chaos and many other problems.
Perhaps their CPU are better than their GPU. Why do you think AMD is superior to Intel?

A graphics card is different to a CPU.
AMD CPU's have always been superior then Intel's do 10 minutes of research and there's your answer.

I mean I never used AMD so I can't say it's good or not. But I know more about Intels CPU's then I do AMD's CPU's.
You really don't need a i9 for just gaming i am still running the i7 8700k and can run just about everything out there and live stream at the same time. (I shouldn't real be putting in my 2 cents and i upgrade my pc all the time when i don't need to. I guess it more of do as i say not as i do thing lol )
