Upgrading Phone

When was the last time you bought a new phone? I have been using my phone for 3 years and it still works great, though it gets hot easily. Sometimes I think about buying new phone (seeing people with new shiny phone kinda do that to me), but it seems like a big waste of money. I think I'll be using this one until it barely functions. What about you guys?

I purchased my phone few months back but I used the previous phone for close to 3 years. I ended up buying new phone when phone was not holding the charge and started to slowdown a lot. As long as you phone is responsive to your day to day use, I don't see any reason to spend money on buying a new phone.
