Upgrading mybb 1.6 -> 1.8 ?

Is it possible to upgrade mybb 1.6 to 1.8? without losing threads, Members etc?

Yes, download 1.8.x and then upload all of the files from the upload folder into the root of your FTP server.

From there, go to your website (with /install at the end) and follow the instructions.

What I did is I downloaded threads, users, posts, usergroups and so on, which I imported back into the empty 1.8.X database.
Been working with MyBB since 2013. Been involved with several forum such as Crackingseal & Cracked.to

I heard much plugins should work on 1.8 now to :p i hope its worth it the upgrade from 1.6 to 1.8

I did not say i don't know how it works. Just wandering if you backed up the database or downloaded every single thread

Just download the tables from Phpmyadmin.
