Upgrading mybb 1.6 -> 1.8 ?

If you have lots of plugins and modification on you board then you need to contact the plugin authors and see if there is an update available for 1.8x. Or else you can loose many things without the plugin compatibility.

Always take a backup of you board and then proceed for the upgrade.
