Well, Vac Net is a neural network that analyzes overwatch games. It's self-learning, and it looks like pretty well, because most of the cheaters got banned. But time will show some pattern that people getting banned and why, and cheaters will adapt to a new system. So if you're a legit player then this is the best time to play, because people don't know how vacnet works exactly so they will be getting banned more likely or they will wait until someone comes up with a solution.
Vacnet is a system that should always evolve. So yeah I think it will "take over" cheaters. If it works correctly it should soon be able to detect most aimbots on its own. Although there have been some bans that have been innocent. Just new technology learning.

It will definitelyban aimbots/bhop etc. that you can see on a demo but what about visuals(WH)? If they don't improve VAC itself cheaters will always be in the game because vac-net is just bot that review demos. What they should do is improve VAC to check if anybody isn't hooking their func or calling their func from somewhere else than a game, it would be an easy solution and will ban most of the cheaters.

Yeah I agree. Too bad everyone on the vac team seems to think it's fine.
A counter argument one of em had when I messaged them
*Linked the vac ban page* "over 100k pages of bans I think vac is working just fine.
I believe in VACNet because VALVE have a "server farm" that 1 server have 54 cores with 128Gb RAM. Its currently 1700 cores working on search hackers. But with big fails yet.
VACNet is a pretty amazing thing actually, imagine if it actually learns that much that it can detect cheaters within 5 minutes of them playing the game
