I really like Vegas Pro. I tried multiple video editing softwares but Vegas Pro fits my needs the most.

Adobe After Effects is a good choice if you have the time to learn the software, it's one of the best on the market.
Sony Vegas is also a very good software and much more simple than Adobe After Effects, but you can still do a lot of the same things with time.

I use Adobe Premiere, and I know some of my friends use Sony Vegas, I think it's more along the lines of what you can afford.

My preferred program is Sony Vegas. It's the easiest one for me to use personally.

I have used Sony Vegas since Pro 9 came out, and I have to say that it is such an easy software to get good at using, that I'm surprised more people don't use it.

Of course I believe that After Effects (and maybe premier) is better but I never really have had the time to learn how to use them. And for my projects I usually resort to Vegas (unless I want to use a wiggle effect then I go to AE)

Camtasia is really user-friendly. It has got a nice clear structure, not had to understand. If you wanna do things professionally I'd just advise using Sony Vegas. It's still one of the best video editing softwares out there. Tho it's relatively hard to handle
