WHY GMOD BECOMED UNPOPULAR?

its true, for example, FiveM is replacing gmod darkrp, since its more realistic than darkrp, but I think darkrp is more fun than fivem, at least you are not standing in an area to do any work in darkrp.

It is true the reason behind this is that little kids invaded gmod that lead to just minges instead of roleplay

Why do you think FiveM is replacing darkrp?
Every FiveM server is different. In gmod almost all darkrp servers are same. Not balanced economy (getting millions in hour or two), too op weapons (one shot one kill shotguns), weird jobs like batman, spiderman, or some anime things. In fivem it's much harder to get something like assault rifle or even buy a car. I'm not gonna even start discussion about prop flying and killing.

Is there real replacment for the TTT Gamemode in Gmod? For me thats the reason for playing the game. And quite a lot happend there in the last year. It is much better now with the TTT2 Addon than a few years ago.

I believe that is because Valve stopped developing major updates, they opened up space for new games, like CS: GO and over time the game was sinking into the depths of the underrated.

I don't think it became unpopular necessarily, I just think, and especially with DarkRP there are so many servers that are so similar to eachother it becomes repetitive and tedious.

I do think because of the developers not giving any new content to it and people losing interest in it

The update is a non to exist for Garry's mod, only minor fixes and not a major improvement in terms of the old problems. The workshop is frequently added due to the community of the game but the dev doesn't really have time on this game.
