asked myself this question recently, I think there would be a lot of unhappy people, but I also thing a lot of people would love how far we have come.

This is going to sound morbid, but as older generations start to kick the curb I think younger, more progressive people will definitely make this happen. Also, don't get me wrong, all old people can't be generalized as bigoted, but there certainly is a bit of truth to that.
