The closest i got to anime/and manga fan boy, is when my friends brought in a bunch of anime/manga like naruto/death note/one piece (i assume the mainstream ones).
And i kinda wanna try watching anime but have no idea where to start.

#3 go for One piece, it is the best anime to start on. but if you like you can go for

there is so many diverse anime is out there and people do have different taste on it
if you like action there is Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, and etc
Comedy like Gintama, Saiki-Kusuo, etc
or if you want some deep stuff there is Neon Genesis Evangelion, it sure maybe change your perspective that anime isn't only for kid.
but if you want Beloved anime and that has great community and fanbase on it you sure must check JoJo Bizzare Adventure, be sure though if you want to watch this because you can't stop from watching until you completed a whole season.
there is many I can tell but if you want really want to watch anime from start, there is no such thing is start on anime just be sure you have a good time when watching it.
