Was harry potter a good series?

I was never a harry potter person. Im in to more real things. Harry just never seemed to catch my attention.

Harry Potter is a great series, especially so for children/teenagers. I loved the series growing up, it is a great fantasy series. However, it does have some gaping plot holes and some logic that just doesn't hold up (There is no way people living in England, even in a secret magical society, would not know what English money is.) and when compared to some adult fantasy, by the likes of Brandon Sanderson, Patrick Rothfuss, Brent Weeks etc, it's just not as well written.

That said, Harry Potter is not meant to be for adults. The fact adults still enjoy it when it's aimed at children/teenagers, is a point in its favour.

Never read the books, but the movie is amazing. really.

for me, all the series are sensational and they are a milestone in the cinema

I enjoyed harry potter until near the end it got kinda boring. The new spinoff series is.. okay I guess.

I could never get into it because I found the whole magic theme boring. Having grown up id def want to take a look at it soon.

My little sister gew up on Harry Potter, and I had read it to her before the movies came out. To be honest, that and Lord of the rings will always be near my heart because of my childhood ^^
