What FREE Text editor could I use for big text files >4 GB

While this is true, I fully support the usage of Sublime Text 3 regardless.

NFO Pad opens pretty large files, plus its free, supports most import formats aswell so win win

There's a few cracks around so OP could use one of those.

visual studio code is really nice. Lots of features and is small compared to visual studio

These programs are paid for when you have to pay for them.

I like notepad++ for editing large files. It's simple and effective.

Terminal editor like VIM should be your choice as it only buffers the lines displayed on your screen.
