What Makes a Server Good to You?

I'm trying to get back into making some GMod servers again and want to know what keeps you around?

My current ideas are to make an entire custom map (2 weeks in the making now) and hud, few addons etc this is all for a MilitaryRP designed server.

What are peoples thoughts on what makes a server good enough to stay around?

no minges, good rp, and can be funny some times i like these sort of servers it is good

A server with enjoyable game play and a welcoming community.

My favorite time is a stable hierarchy. I want to join and have my time meaningful in the sense of climbing the staff ladder without issue.

As per gameplay, I like custom maps, custom models, innovative addons, and enjoyable experiences. Don't have thousands of idiotic custom jobs and colors.

A server without admins/moderators/staff that are as minge or worse than some of the players. This is something, in my opinion, all servers suffer from, but RP servers especially. If you have a good server (addons, map etc) the staff are what makes the difference between a person staying on your server, and returning, or leaving and not coming back.

Additionally not having too many addons is good, although with fastDL and workshop support this is not as big of an issue - but I know on my TTT sever some of my players have terrible internet, so if they had to download loads of addons they would struggle. A quick connection time to the server is good! Further have a custom loading screen, just don't have bad music (or music at all!).

I like servers with good configurated addons and with fastdl ;d

The staff team is the most important bit to mee, nothing worse than a server that is owned by a 13 year old who spends his time banning people who kill him.

Lots of addons, lots of things to do. Level system, lots of jobs.

First of all community. but fastdl, good addons, and just a normal size map that doesn't lagg.

I have a server that i rented 2 weeks ago but ive stopped using it since Im not the best at scripting it wanted to make a Darkrp but then i noticed to many people do that so then starwarsrp yeah possibly but doing it alone just takes to much time.
