I think I started playing at around the age of 7, and always wanted to learn to program games but didn't know how.
When I was 14, I learnt about a thing called Turbo Pascal from an old school textbook, and got really excited, but unfortunately, as I had learnt, that's not something which is preinstalled on PCs.
I had to wait another year, because my family didn't have internet until then.
Life was hard before the internet, lol.

Honestly I can't remember it. It isnt like I was a fanatic about computers and especially not my first one.
But I remember my first one a tad clearly.

It was an old machine running windows 95 if I remember correctly and it had these shitty children game on it as I was a child. I can't remember the games but I remember trying to somehow get out of the games and try and find these exploits I guess you can call it, you know like these exciting things or accidents that shouldn't happen. However I was not really that much of a fanatic and I lost interest until I got my own gaming laptop at around the age of 10 ish. And then my very own big computer at around 14. (I'm still running this old babe but it's losing its powers and yes, I have upgraded it since lmao). So yeah, once I got my first laptop I quickly learned how to move around the restrictions of my parents.

Best Regards.

Wow you guys are all such early-birds. I started later at around 14-15 (learning computing, not using a computer). I started off with HTML (not a language, just markup) and later got drawn to instructional languages like C++.

But I first played minesweeper when I was 6. Smile

I was around 14. Back then we had no internet so you had to go to a library and buy some programming books, I didn't have the money so I just messed with code. I practiced with some computers from a school I used to go, and managed to infect them all with a virus.

Antivirus software was distributed in floppy disks back then, so most schools and individuals had outdated versions. But somehow it was fun, finding a virus was an achievement, and you could collect it in a floppy. Most nerd kids had a floppy full of fuckn viruses and we called them virus farms.

I was 14, started in the ' 90s, 286, 386, 486, etc. It continued with new software, new opportunities, new ideas.
