What are the IT Certifications in demand?

As the title says it all. Are Microsoft certifications good enough to get a decent salary?

Just having one of those isn't going to keep your boat afloat. You need higher education at the very least.

I see alot of job listings with MCSE as a strong preference.

RHCSA and RHCE if you're looking to work in a Linux environment. I don't have a degree but they've essentially carried my career. A good reference would be https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/commen...o_or_what/

I mean, at this rate, it's going to be a basic skill for most jobs soon

it's never a bad idea to get a certificate. but most important you really need the knowledge. if you have the chance to get a certificate at a reduced price, take it!. some of them are really expensive.

You should have atleast BS degree in Computer Science and then there is easy for you to get into job

CompTIA+, etc. However, no amount of certification will make up for education + project/real world experience. It is a good idea to get it under your belt, if you have the time.
