I'm having fun making a DarkRP server, but I was wondering what would I need in terms of hardware for a 100+ players server.
I already have a server which I mainly use for Discord Bots, which has 8 64bit cores and 8 GB RAM, with 300mb/s in bandwidth. Would I need more?

Gmod is HIGHLY CPU intensive. RAM you should be able to get away with 4GB and your bandwidth seems fine.
Oh and dont try to run intensive addons, youll just roast your CPU even more.

Sounds like a VPS?
You would probably want a dedicated server.
If your in EU Hetzner has pretty good prices on their auction thing.
Got a i7 3770k + 32gb of ram + 2x3TB HDD's in raid for 50 euros.
Should mention that Hetzner has no ddos protection.
