I personally think VIP is not good because of the abuse of the price... I've seen VIPs at 10 $ !!! It's the price of the game !!! :oh:

It's a really nice thing to have and it keeps the servers running so its "essential" if you want to have a successful gmod server

Every server owner would like to make income. How are they just gonna donate money to the cause without wanting to make money. Every server that is good in some way has sometype of store. Like if you look at SuperiorServers they have a store and they are doing amazing. They have come a long way!

I think any type of store is an arbitrary means of making money. What happened to making servers to play the game :c

How were you gonna make money of servers then?
Servers without donations die in 1 week..

VIPs help support the server developers.
Without that money, they can't pay for hosting (or sustainably do so), and a lot of the time they either want to support addon developers or they have no choice because their anti-piracy is too good.

so true. that fact that he doesn't know that amazes me.

I Think vip isn't good bug servers die in 1 day without donations

It is an essential thing if you want to keep a server running

No donations = No server.. The money provides the owner to maintain server costs and to bring the players a better experience with new addons etc.
