What do you think about current games?

Honestly, I consider that this generation is full of generic games that only serve to sell you skins. With the exception of a few that were really made with love and it shows when playing it, it is the case of the recently battlefield 2042, they were made in a hurry just to release a new unfinished product full of bugs, Although nothing surprises me.

Funnily enough, I usually prefer playing old games. Even when I play newer ones they are usually remasters of old games I play, or at least part of a longstanding established series. I really like the nostalgia appeal of older games I used to play. I agree that oftentimes newer games are rushed out to sell quickly, and oftentimes have many issues such as bugs and oversights. Though at least most of the times the developers are willing to patch them, unlike older games where such patches are usually fan made. It's tricky since I think games are a great source of both entertainment and storytelling, but I also understand that making and selling games is a business at the end of the day. Even if I hate what I see as cashgrabs, I understand why developers and studios have to do such a thing to be financially viable.

Totally agree on the BF 2042 front. So many bugs and unfinished parts in the game. It doesn't even deserve the battlefield name.
One of the reasons I'm also drawn to older games is, like Kellan mentions, the nostaglic feeling you get when playing it.

Not too fond of the selection of games we have now, there are the odd few which I like, but overall they're not too great. Some may not agree however a game like Roblox if used properly and people actually started to make decent games on there I feel like that could be pretty interesting.

New games are pretty generic and a money grab. Something about the industry has lost passion in projects and experimenting in games. I think investors ruined the industry

current games have definitely gotten better and have progressed from old games because we didnt have ps5 or high quality games before
