What do you think makes a good RP server?

Hello!
I am currently working on a GMOD RP server, I won't go too deep into what the RP is about as it's still in early development,
But all you need to know is that it's a DarkRP modification.

I've read so many articles/threads about people complaining about DarkRP and what it's become and I don't want to fall in the same category as those servers,

What do you think would make a truly enjoyable DarkRP experience? What are the things I should avoid?

Well i have a DarkRP server, the first Portuguese Server.

The most players liked its the events when play like search for something etc.

You need to create every time updates for people search for that updates, and have something to do on the servers, like FIVE M on GTA 5 , have like a 2nd life ingame.

I really like DarkRP servers. I always liked servers of building stores and being a guard or something to protect everyone...I don't know much of it, but I'm going off of what I've seen and heard

Players must be entertained at all times, lack of entertainment and social interaction will make players leave the server prematurely

Jobs, having good jobs on darkRP is super important. Over saturation of VIP jobs kills it for most people because not everyone can just dump money. Map is important, default is fine. Vehicles, CSGO knifes are always enjoyed and events like Purge ETC keep people entertained.

ugh honestly a lot of hard work and dedicated devs... but there has yet to be an rp server great enough!

Try to make diferents job, not like in the other RP servers, look for something new

I think some custom things are nice to have to attract people into the gameplay, mature and fair, also friendly administration. Interesting jobs, fair and balanced system for donators and non-donators (AKA people can obtain items like donators do). Maybe a few more things, yet nothing else comes up to my mind for now.

Well a good staff team is always nice to have and custom things that make you different from other servers.

I find not bad NxServ, self-written scripts, great online, Convenient F menu.
