What happened to "Garry's Mod 2"?

Its not like Gmod thats why its differently named "S&BOX" its Unreal Engine 4 based and its still in a development but i personally dont think it will be as fun as Gmod

Is there even going to be a garrysmod 2 coming out? if so what would even happen to the servers that are on the other one?
