What is BitCoin and why should I invest in it?

This question is actually for anyone who will answer. I've heard about crypto, only BitCoin specifically. From what I understand it's only used to do dark web stuff. So if there's actually real uses for it will someone please explain those to me?

yeah don't use bitcoin for anything illegal. there is metadata within it that isn't 100% untracable. people point to monero as the defacto anonymous currency. at least until it's cracked too.
