What is better?

Minecraft with mods and plugins or without plugins or without mods only vanilla?

It might sound lame but Ive been having fun with the vanilla version that I havent even looked into mods yet. Ill definitely get there eventually, but I think plain and simple Minecraft is amazing on its own.

Both mods and plugins have their uses so neither is better. It depends on how you want to play the game.

For instance, when a new MC version is released, I will play it vanilla.
However, when I feel like playing minigames, I'll go to a server like Hypixel which is plugin-heavy.
I also play Pixelmon (a Pokemon mod) on Pixelmon servers.

I've always enjoyed vanilla over modding, I feel like majority of modpacks are overcomplicated
