What is the best free anti virus?

is it bad if i don't use an antivirus? I just don't download anything i don't recognize, and have been able to fix any other problems

I have used a lot of antivirus software in these years but actualy I uninstall all of these to use Windows Defender.

the Microsoft one does his job, every av does the job u should dont think this programms save u from doing stupid things

Microsoft's free virus scanner is what I use. I imagine a big company like that will keep its database as up to date as possible.

Malwarebytes has been working great for me and is essentially free.

MalwareByte and some Firewall protection is good enough

Depends on your windows version. If you have windows 10 go for windows defender. Works perfect and uses less of your computer.

I really enjoy using Avast. Free and pretty unintrusive.

Malwarebytes by far imo, the premium version is worth it, but I try to find other ways.
