The best thing is definitely exploring finding new things with friends alike, personally I like Minecraft mini games.

For me, it is most definitely the modding community. Without that community, Minecraft would be dead honestl

Logic. By that I mean redstone comparisons, machines, command blocks etc.. Its like verry good startup for a kid who wants to be programmer, who likes to code and think logically. If I'm not mistaken, in some countries kids getting to play minecraft like a lesson. It also really bumps up kids creativity, not just logical thinking.

You can do anything, build whatever you want, and play with your friends too
