What is your general opinion of Early Access?

I like early access games like Rust because developers can develop their game with the gaming community (in good case) and then when they'll release the game it should be a sucessor. But on the other hand some game devs are selling their early access games on a very high price, and it's nonsense.

I think it's a good idea.

Games are usually cheaper during Early Access, and they're really cheap on G2A.

But If I dont like a game from Early access, I just refund it.

It's a good program, but I feel like too many indie developers take advantage of it by releasing games through it, and never take it out of early access. All as an excuse for why their games look like, or even are, shit.

People may like to play unfinished games and send feedback. But most of them are people who cant wait to play, ignores the warnings and complains about crashes.

Early access allow newbies in gamedev to produce good project, i like this type of maintenance

Yeah, it helps developers as people before me said but once they see the cash flow they get lazy. DayZ for example.

I think that Early Access is a fantastic way to let smaller developers get the funding they need to develop and release their games. Without early access, they'd have to sell the games when they're fully developed, which will take time for smaller dev teams. But sadly there is a lot of people misusing this as well.

I think its okay but sometimes prices are too much.

It certainly can be helpful if the devs listen, a lot of them don't though. Several games go into EA and never come out because the devs just don't do anything. I'm not against it though, it just needs to be done right.
