What makes Star Wars so entertaining?

there is my reasons:
1. frontier - far far away, somewhere on outer worlds (mostly)
2. magic - force and lightsabers
3. space battles even today its shine and entertain
4. strong and memorizable villain

I think it's partially the nostalgia, many people grew up with the movies and it was very special for it's time. Also, the characters and entire universe is extremelywell developed.

It has got to be the muppets!

Everything already said, but my short answer is the Universe created by George Lucas! It`s really big and diverse.
