What makes this game change peoples personality?

I know its not a popular topic between lol player. But Im curiouse why player suddenly change their personality after they enter Champselect till they close the client.

And why do people report other player for everything even thoe they did worse:

negative attitude
verbal abuse
Intentional feeding
Always the same report reason. And thats not only one friend that does it.
But at the end of the day i think its League.

What do you guys think about that people change in game.

The game is designed to be in a competitive mood that drives people mad...

I guess a big part of that is being placed in a team with 4 random people where you have to work together, but can't communicate for shit.
People chase elo so much they forget about their own mistakes and get frustrated by losing and blame everything on the game...
Might be easier to change yourself than to change everybody you play with, but people don't do that for some reason :/

Competitive games bring out the worst in people, they might be great people IRL but that can change when something is on the line (LP in this case). For me, I try to stay level-headed but sometimes I snap and go apeshit on these people who cry or keep arguing in chat.

Lol, playing in an intense ranked game.
Only one player whose carrying the team.
Meanwhile the other players are trolling around

Its not the game itself. Its the competitive aspect of the game. You will find the same amount of toxic players in overwatch/csgo. Competitiveness brings out the worst in some people.

The game is competitive, you can see that even in normal games. I, too, change when playing league, I get mad at every mistake i see, but there are even worse. I won't say i never had a nice game where my teammates didn't feed, but there are players that break at 1 death. Mainly yasuo in low elo. You see a yasuo get first-blooded? get ready, it's not over yet.

This is one of the reasons why it is not very pleasant to play it. Most of the games are negatively tuned and thus preexists the other part.

They forget its just a game and take it to seriously, and when they dont get what they want the get even more mad.
