What programming language to start with?

I really only know html and php, i started with website design, but im more of a server develeoper so I pick up different stuff every time I wanna host something new, like Im starting gmod servers so now im picking up a little lua.

I think python will be the best selection for programming language

I like C#, c++ and LUA, they are pretty easy to learn.

Python is great as a starter language. Javascript too, although it's more used for scripts or combined with HTML and CSS for websites than for standalone programs.

Java is pretty unforgiving. You can start with it if you want to ingrain some good habits into you, but not necessary at all.

Python. It's not too difficult to understand and you can write a lot of troll type programs that will give you a hell of a time.,

i started with lua then started doing c++ and now im doing c#

I started with LUA since it is very easy to understand. I'm using .py right now.

Maybe try C# , very widely used so learning it would be a big benefit to you in the long run

depends on what you want to program; if you want to make games, you'd become proficient in c# faster while making simple games for fun than in for example python while making programs just for the sake of training while not enjoying what you are doing

I started with java I found it easy but I would recommend Python.
