Definitely PHP syntax is a simple loops you will quickly understand and working with this language is the pure pleasure that gives results.

Phyton is the best for beginners. I would also recommend starting immediately.

I messed around with a load of languages at first (c++ being the very first) but the first one that really stuck with me was C# I still consider myself a complete newbie though

c, c++, python, javascript, pretty much in that exact order. really need to pick up on java.

Started with Java and moved around for a bit and stuck with C. Now I do a little bit of everything.

I started with C++
its a good starting point as it gives you a good understanding of how computers work, but is simple enough for a first language!
- and as stroustroup says, it was made around begginers!

I started with Pascal, I'm now intensively studying C ++, and I'm programming for Blueprints

Started with java and stuck with java. Just sucks at college wasnt for me.

My first language was Python at school then I have since moved on to Java, c# and c++
