Been an avid pubg player for quite some time but recently took a three month hiatus from games. Came back to a lot of hype about apex legends. Can anyone explain what's so good about it? Looks kind of like COD to me.

It has some COD and Halo aspects to it, and also the Overwatch inspired ultimates and abilitys. I'd give it a play if your really interested in the BR genre, Apex has become my new favorite.

Apex is another game that appeals to minors, it's just like Fortnite, minus the shitty-cringy emotes and skins.
200 - ok

Just another battle royale game that's highly overrated. I can't say I've been keeping up to date with all these battle royale games past fortnite and pubg.
Feeling pathetic but quite a e s t h e t i c.

I can't explain why someone might prefer it over another battle royale game (or COD), but within the Overwatch community there's a sense that Apex gets a lot of things "right" that Overwatch is struggling with. Almost all of my friends have switched to Apex specifically because they find it less frustrating than Overwatch.

1) Team communication is easy, even without mics. The ping system is extremely easy to use and surprisingly flexible.

2) Even though you're on a team, your individual contribution feels like it matters. In OW the rest of the team's composition can screw you, and it's frustrating to know you're playing your best but it doesn't matter because your team comp is messed up.

3) Games are quick and losing doesn't feel as personal. So what if you died in the first two minutes, you can quickly hop into another game.

Apex is a great game but your aim needs to be on point. its almost the same as titanfall 2.

I like the Apex very much, it is dynamic, interesting, in general a good idea. Its a little work and will be generally cool game.

Great game with a new fresh approach to the battle royale scene. Much, much better than Fortnite and also PUBG in my opinion.

100% agree with this. Also the fact that you can respawn your teammate got finished makes it way more rewarding when you clutch for instance a 3v1.
