Gmod would never die unless they make a second gmod. S&Box seems to be like a new gmod but the only problem being that its abandoned.

gmod 1k hours here

I don't think it will ever die, but always have an active fanbase cause the variety of gamemodes. Also its very easy to run and doesn't require a high end computer, so normies can play.

I think Gmod will shut down someday and a new one will come. For example, Gmod 2 or something.

GMod will live on whenever there are people with shit machines. It runs well on low end machines and its cheap which means kids can buy it easily. Plus I bet you all have great memories of TTT or Prop Hunt lans right?

I can't wait for S&box though, thats going to be amazing if it becomes a full game! :lit:

Gmod is showing steady signs of a player base if you refer to Steam's graphs of the game's player base. However, once S&Box (Gmod 2) comes out, it will probably die out. That being said however, S&Box won't be coming out for at least 2 years. I hope this answered your question.

I think gmod is going to be less crowded when Identity and S & box go out, but there will always be a few people
