The movie was pretty good, but the book for American Psycho is an outstanding read. A bit dark at times, but full of satire if you can get through the blood and guts of it all.

The last book I read was "This Is Your Brain on Music"

It's quite an interesting read, looking into the psychology that music holds to us all and goes into a pretty good detail of it all, though it's mainly all down to prediction and theory.
I think it's a good read if you're into the subconscious thought and feeling aspects music can bring to light, otherwise it may just be a boring read to you.

Ooh, definitely sounds neat. I'm taking a psych course in school now but it's pretty introductory so I'm not too familiar with all the effects of music haha. Maybe I'll give it a shot!

If you plan on using it for school/college/university education, I don't really recommend this as it doesn't follow any of that at all; music may only be referenced and not gone into much detail.

Good luck on your course though. I finished my psychology course last year. It's really fun, but a lot of it tends to be statistics which isn't for everyone.
If you need any assistance with anything just let me know.
