I prefer using Python, the best and most flexible I guess. It does all the "hard work" for you, and you just have to code the rest.

I've only learnt a bit of Java, so that'd be it. Don't know anything about the other languages.

glua/lua i find it easy and fun to use unlike python and other languages, It was an easy language to learn and it just flew to me.

Csharp by far lua makes me wanna commit sepaku it is so bad and rough for beginners

I do a lot of coding in C++ for a private server for a classic MMO I develop.

Point-click Sierra type game.

it also uses ancient Sierra programming language called SCI, thats just god awful

It all depends on what you need to do.

Ruby on Rails is great for prototyping. Golang for fast web services. Rust for desktop apps.

All languages has it's own pros and cons

Started coding with Runescape Private Servers so love Java, also learning python, mysql, and php in school!

Personally, for websites and such I prefer either NodeJS or PHP, and C# or Electron for applications
