Thank you for mentioning that, otherwise I would have done it. Yeah, it really is a thing what the person likes. And asking for what for genres the person would prefer is not a bad idea.

Berserk 2016 was my first anime! it is available on Netflix.

Shingeki no kyojin watch this anime first because it IS insane

You should watch HunterXHunter, it's my recommendation

I would definitely look into the different genres and go from there first. My personal favorites are My Hero Academia, Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Digimon. (Frontier is my personal favorite season of Digimon.)
