Focus your content on building "linkable assets" (Not a term I invented).

Meaning, you need to heavily focus your articles on building content higher authoritative sites would love to link to.

Articles based on research, definitive guides, ultimate guides, step-by-step stuff are perfect for this.

These types of articles are the ones that gain the most amount of links from authority sites and, they earn those NATURALLY (This is what Google loves!)

Create a super content that fulfill users' needs and do all the basic SEO. Don't waste time on keyword tools and backlinkings. Keep making content and Google will reward you with traffic.

I use always a T1 T2 pyramid looking to my MS and I pay good links (for example from newspapers), the most importan thin now for start is the seo ON-PAGE....
