A forum is here to talk to other people. There's no need for a shoutbox.
I can vouch for people saying that a shoutbox decreases activity on the forums, but increases user interaction.
The Miuna Shoutbox is the best one by far (even r00t coded it xdddddd funny emem)
I really enjoy shoutboxes because it helps users interact with each other more. But hey, your call.

I agree. In my opinion seeing a shoutbox would/ might be a quicker and better form of communication linking you to more people than who you are just messaging.
Great way to interact. But on the bad side, it could be used for wrong and it might give the wrong idea to what people think that they can do. Like spam etc

Something to increase user interaction would be great. Find something you enjoy. Become an expert in it. And find ways to provide value to others with your skill. And you'll never have to worry about money.

It's not useless, it leads to further discussion that develops into ideas. That is the purpose of the forum.
Like my last idea, which started with a something and ended up in a very specific, forum-wide supported idea.
Don't discriminate based on the method of developing a new idea.
Find a goal, then find a method to fulfill it. Find something you enjoy. Become an expert in it. And find ways to provide value to others with your skill. And you'll never have to worry about money.
