Whats difference between hash and weed?

Umm, New comer here. I am starting to take a interest in the magical plant, But I keep hearing people talk about hash too. I dont know if its slang or something but can anyone tell me what it is?

Hash is basically concentrated THC. The little "hairs" you see on weed is just compressed into one block or glob looking shit.

Most people say that hash can give you a more intense high than just smoking weed could but I'm not completely sure because I've never tried hash.

(Someone correct me if I'm wrong about any of that ^)

Hash basically looks like a brownie but it's weed in hash form that has trichomes/thc. Also, weed is just the plant form. Good hash would normally get you higher than regular weed.
