Whats the point of making a csgo server?

Whats the point of make a server? I seen you can have servers but I really don't get why ?

Do they have better anti cheats or custom games modes or something?

Whats the point of making any server realy. To just have something you can own and customize to your liking. Pic the gamemodes, customs maps, etc

To play with friends, build a community, to experiment around with gamemodes.

Because unlike a normal Valve server, you can fully customize it to your own liking.

Theres some cool stuff you can do with a csgo server and its a good way to make a few bucks too if you know what youre doing

This is actually a good question lol. The only CSGO servers I play on other than MM are retake servers, but I have a few friends who don't even play MM and only play surf maps/zombie maps, so I guess it all comes down to personal interest and what your motivations for playing CSGO are.

I guess just for fun or to play with friends or for a warm-up. I had around 2k hours and spent maybe 5h playing on servers
