The biggest lure for Windows 10 is its price tag its free until the end of July 2016 - but many users are still holding back over fears of that the changes are a bit too radical. Much of what you love still exists, albeit with improvements or a slightly different look.

Weve compared some of the main features of Windows 7 with their Windows 10 equivalents to reassure you that upgrading neednt be disorientating.

Win 10 is better in update and stability and also security

But if you want to run old apps try win 8 or 7

Windows 7 is slower than 8/8.1 and 10 nowadays; it wasn't designed for the modern hardware of today's computers. No UEFI support and no DirectX 12 either (Windows 10 only.)

That being said, user-friendly UI is a big part of what makes me chose an OS; so I'd go with Windows 8.1 for that (with ClassicShell or Start8 ofcourse.)

Obviously Win10, lightweight but also optimized when it concerns resource usage.

I used to be on win7 home and ever since i updated to win10 i've had improvements in performance but get blue screen sometimes :(

the last 2 computers that people asked me to upgrade had some blue screens after the instalation, one of them never had it again but one had to change the RAM memory.
I'm not an expert on this but in my experience windows 10 is more sensitive to this kind of ram problems or bad disk sectors.
my wife has this problem at the moment on a high-end desktop. i have scanned the computer using a bootable pen with diagnostic tools and the only thing i found was bad sectors on a RAID instalation so this might also give you some aditional help.

W10 has more support hence why its probably going to be better and more performing.
