Which platform is this forum using? And What is the best free Forum Platform?

I love the overall feel of this forum and I was wondering if anyone knows what platformis it on?
I have been testing stuff withphpbbandmybbbut I am not anywhere close to where I wantit itbe.

It's MyBB with some plugins and a decent theme.

Each forum software has its own design quirks and layouts that can be examined if you're into that sort of thing.
