Why would anyone freely use Lightmode, its basically like staring at the sun, maybe if they made it less bright and... dazzling more people might use it.

A friend of mine actually does use light mode. Everyone always gives him shit for it, but he defends it. I do remember reading that dark mode doesn't actually prevent eye strain, so I guess it's fine.
