Why did valve make cs:go f2p?

I think they ruined the game by making it free to play, yes I know there is a way to play withc people who bought csgo or bought the pass but what's the point of making a game f2p that already had a lot of cheaters

To increase active players and bringing back old people who may have been banned. Increased hackers however more money for then with loot.

To bring players and with them money, its stupid for us who bought game but now 1 month after csgo is still same, in december there were 622k vac bans, so vac works, that is good

I personally think they are working on a hwid ban which will suck for everyone who is hacking

Yes, they made it free to play and unfortunately made a ton of hackers play the game since they can get banned and come back with a new account.

More players for em, they are desperate for people to try out their battle royale mode. I bought csgo and i didnt think twice about trying csgo Danger Zone. Guns are extremely small. Nevertheless, hackers took over almost all non-prime matches and some primes.

Not sure why they made it f2p.... but i waisted my money the week after they decided to make it free. since then im not very happy.

I personally think they are working on a hwid ban which will suck for everyone who is hacking
